- This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB)
- for use with network management protocols in TCP/IP-based internets.
- In particular, it describes a representation of the SNMP parties
- defined in RFC 1351 as objects defined according to the Internet
- Standard SMI. These definitions are consistent with the SNMP Security
- protocols set forth in RFC 1352. This RFC is the product of the SNMP
- Security Working Group of the IETF.
-
- This is now a Proposed Standard Protocol.
-
- This document specifies an IAB standards track protocol for the
- Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for
- improvements. Please refer to the current edition of the "IAB
- Official Protocol Standards" for the standardization state and status
- of this protocol. Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
-
- This announcement is sent to the IETF list and the RFC-DIST list.
- Requests to be added to or deleted from the IETF distribution list
- should be sent to IETF-REQUEST@NRI.RESTON.VA.US. Requests to be added
- to or deleted from the RFC-DIST distribution list should be sent to
